Kalyan Narayanan has over 24 years of experience in digitally transforming traditional business models in industries such as healthcare, telecom, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, and publishing. His digital transformation methodology of “Strategy -> Plan -> Execute -> Metrics ” has become the core foundation of the “Digital Strategy Yoga™” framework. Over the last 15 years, he has helped create digital programs for consumers, providers, brokers, employer groups, and wellness and prevention to support the healthcare and life science industries. He helps businesses transform themselves using digital channels (web, mobile, social, smart devices).
In his view, the next big thing for healthcare and life science businesses to recognize is the need to transform themselves to be a “Digital Enterprise”.
Kalyan holds an Executive Masters in Technology Management from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey and a Masters in Science and Technology from Birla Institute of Technology and Science in Pilani, India.
Advisory Board Member
Ken Sharma has over 30 years of experience as a process optimization expert and a social activist focused on healthcare implementation and voter registration. He uses his corporate experience to energize communities to change the way the healthcare industry works. Ken develops strategies and processes to help volunteers improve their productivity and achieve their goals. As an advisory board member, he advises Digital Strategy Yoga™ on the field-level issues faced by healthcare volunteers and community organizations in providing information on the access, quality, and costs of healthcare.
Ken holds a degree in Computer Science from Queens College in New York and has an Associate’s degree in Business Administration from Fisher College in Boston.
Dr. Jayashree Bhaskara
Advisory Board Member
Dr. Jayshree Bhaskara, fondly referred as Dr. B, is a practicing physician with more than 20 years of experience in internal medicine. She has been certified in Internal Medicine since 1998, and is currently licensed to practice in Michigan, New Jersey, and Texas. For the past six years, she has been providing her medical services at Somerset Medical Center in New Jersey.
Dr. Bhaskara is known for her compassionate care and is a recipient of multiple awards, including Best Physician Awards at various hospitals. She received the Holden Award for best research paper and the Best IM Resident Award at Bon Secours Hospital. She also served on the Patient Care Committee at Cornerstone Hospital and the Graduate Medical Education Committee at Bon Secours Hospital, helping to improve the overall quality of care. Dr. Bhaskara advises the Digital Strategy Yoga™ team on field-level issues faced by doctors and patients and on digital solutions, a much needed relief to the healthcare industry.
Dr. Bhaskara received a medical degree from Government Medical College in Nagpur, India, a premier teaching hospital in India. She completed her post-graduate medical education at Bon Secours hospital in Detroit, Michigan. She was Chief Resident at Bon Secours hospital from 1997-1998.
Public Relations and Healthcare Communications Intern
Cara Gregorio is a public relations and healthcare communications intern at Digital Strategy Yoga. She is currently working on the Student Health Ambassador Program (SHAP) to educate college students across the nation and help them understand complex, relevant healthcare terms. As an intern Cara is responsible for conducting the research needed in the formation and the creation of successful healthcare projects, as well as writes news releases and weekly articles focusing on relevant healthcare topics.
Cara is currently an undergraduate communication studies major and psychology minor at The College of New Jersey. She intends to use her expertise from previous experiences within her involvement as an intern, employee, and student to gain an opportunity in public relations or human resources. Cara is known by peers, colleagues, and professional affiliates for her unfaltering drive and professionalism.
Digital Healthcare Industry and Terminal Diseases Student Researcher
Kyuree Park is a motivated individual who aspires to be an Air Force medical doctor who specializes in trauma. She currently attends The College of New Jersey and is graduating in December of 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a minor in Public Health. Simultaneously, she is working as a nursing assistant on a Neurology unit in the number 1 hospital in New Jersey, Hackensack University Medical Center. She has been working there for the past three years and have observed and acted upon, within her job capabilities, the consequences of strokes, seizures, and other neurological disorders. While employed at Hackensack University Medical Center as a nursing assistant, in 2014, she was recognized for her hard work and was nominated for the Daisy Award, which is awarded to those who exhibit patient service excellence in the organization. Her background also includes a three-year nursing education with experience as a student nurse in Maternity, Pediatrics, and Medical Surgery at four different hospitals in Central and South Jersey. Her second job recently consists of an internship at Digital Strategy Yoga, a consulting management firm for innovative medical decision aids and strategies for major healthcare organizations. Utilizing her previous experiences and background in the healthcare, medical, and nursing industries, Kyuree is continuously seeking out opportunities to not only better herself but those around her and the world.
Shih-wen ‘Angela’ Chen
User Interface/User Experience Designer/Developer Intern
Shih-wen ‘Angela’ Chen is both a User Interface/User Experience designer and a front-end developer. She is currently working on projects in healthcare area as an UI/UX intern at Digital Strategy Yoga. One project she participates is to design a service platform for underserved people. She is responsible for gathering and analyzing information and designing personas, wireframes and prototypes.
Angela is currently studying at Parsons School of Design, pursuing her Master degree of MFA Design and Technology. She keeps high interest and focus on creating user-friendly and human-centered projects during her student life in Parsons. She received her bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from National Taiwan University. For years, she has been doing freelance jobs involving graphic and website designing, based on her passion toward design and serving human via technology.
